Barry Goudreau‘s The Engine Room 11/14 show at the Fallout Shelter was postponed (no new date announced). This would’ve been a fun gig. Barry’s a great songwriter & player. It seems like he’s always having fun.

Originally from Boston and in the band Boston, he plays on one of Rock’s greatest anthems. A few years ago at the Boston Music Awards, I remember stepping in an elevator & he and his wife were quick to say and have a brief conversation. I later ran into him at an Ernie And The Automatics gigs, fronted by car czar and billionaire Ernie Boch. Barry was the guitarist in the band.

The venue he was to play at is where I’ve played my most recent open mics. I emailed him directly about opening but never heard back. I assume at a minimum there wasn’t interest in an opener, if not also having an idea the show may not happen.

If booked again, hopefully I can get an opening slot. TBD for now.
