10.30am a text came in from the Brockton Rox that their pre-game performer wouldn’t make it for the 7pm game that night. Pretty cool they thought of me and of course, I took it. Who would turn down the opportunity when invited to play originals in a stadium?
After brushing the dust off a few toons, I packed up & left around 3pm. The gig was from 5pm – 6.45pm. I was asked to turn up a few times, which doesn’t happen a lot especially for guitarists. “Love In Misery” came out amazing.
It was a beautiful, mosquito-less night. Due to the last minute gig, I ended up heading in by myself, caught the first 5 innings, and left in the hope of calling it an early night.
