What a great, intimate night. My buddy, Shane Dunn, who I’ve known for decades at this point played a quaint Irish bar in Stoughton: The Public House. No stage, very limited food menu, minimal tables: mostly a bar and an outdoor patio. Gallery seating (or standing if you didn’t grab one of the 12 bar seats). Fortunately, it had better parking than most venues.

I met Shane years ago at an open mic nearby: Easton’s Blackthorne Tavern. We’ve played a ton of gigs together since: Hard Rock Cafe, various Irish pubs, the infamous Waterfall Bar & Grille, etc. He always makes sure I bring my guitar wherever he plays to jump in on a few toons.

As small as the place was, there were a few familiar faces there. I brought my 11 year old son, my sister and her family came, and there were a few people who were regulars at the Viper Bar (that’s a whole other story). What a trip to see them after all those years and they were requesting originals that they remembered and that I wrote. Amazing!

In all, I love it. Great gig. Great people. Great vibe. Thanks, Shane.
