Such sad news about the CT Sun. It was always a good time going to see them play. The fan base was awesome, supporting the team by sporting their gear, getting their early, passionate about the team, and always having fun. With the success of UConn women’s basketball so close, they had a great market for it. I have so many great memories over the 10+ years I’ve been going to the games.

They’ve also been one of my favorites to work with. I first played the National Anthem before a game about 12 years ago and done a few halftime shows as well. Being part of the pre-game experience was unforgettable. It’s possible I’m the longest standing anthem performer. They sometimes would comp me a room and other times provide food before/ after the performance.

There’s certainly some shadiness behind the sale. It was exciting to think they would come to Boston but how it came to be Houston may not matter at this point.
